Nunyara Social Work
2 Main North Rd
A unique wellbeing program, Nunyara Social Work is helping our younger generation cope with the stresses of life.
First trialled at Kapunda High School, the program features preventative psychology sessions across eight weeks where students and young people come together to discuss health and wellbeing topics.
Through these sessions they learn the tools and skills to help them throughout their lives, including:
- Self-compassion and self-esteem
- How to recognise that something is wrong and where to get help
- How to live healthy and happy lives
Newly learned skills are also discussed at home with parents, helping the whole family and the wider community develop resilience and coping tools.
